About

How it all started...

I grew up in a musical house. My dad played music when he was younger, and his love of music was transferred to my siblings and I.  Long trips in the car meant lots of time to sing songs together. Thanksgivings were (and still are) jam sessions with uncles, cousins, and friends. It was only natural that my sister, brother, best friend and I would form a band, write our own songs, and play music. So we did, and we called our band Soma, and our album Sleepy Little Home. We played a lot of shows, had a lot of fun, and made music that we were proud of. I am still proud of it today, and grateful that were able to record our album when we did.

Life changes...

When my daughter was born, I found a new purpose for my music. I realized how important it was, both to me personally, and in life. It can transcend words and communicate when there may be no other way to do so. I started writing new material for my daughter and for my wife. Songs that celebrated them, celebrated our love and our life together. I took all the joy and all the pain and I put it into songs to show them how much they meant to me. These songs became my solo albums, All For You and Epiphony, which were made thanks to the help of my brother Brent, and the talent of my friends Nick Fainbarg and Brian Haner.

Thank You

I find that life pushes me ever forward, whether I want to go or not. It's like a rip tide that I'm caught in, and most days, I'm just trying to keep my head above water. But sometimes, on the best days, I find I am moving at the right speed to see things around me that I hadn't seen before, hear things that I may have missed, appreciate the life I live, and occasionally obtain some wisdom that I can pass on. If there's one thing I've learned, it's when you have a moment of clarity like that, and the universe is talking to you, bringing you dreams, and planting ideas in your head, it's your responsibility to protect them, work on them, and make them a reality in your life. I take that seriously, and hope you enjoy my contributions to the world.
